Messenger Bag
A messenger laptop bag, also known as a shoulder bag or a sling bag, is a bag that features one strap that goes over the head and rests on one shoulder. The messenger-style bag is a familiar one, as bike messengers use them because with the one strap, they swing easily on and off. The other distinguishing feature is the flap front. The laptop backpack is also a familiar style of bag, known to students, outdoors enthusiasts, and travelers, to name a few. This style features two straps that go on over the arms and rest on the shoulders, so the bag sits on your back. The backpack is a preferred style for some people, especially those who carry heavy objects like books in addition to their laptop. Because laptop backpacks have two straps, they more evenly load weight on the body, reducing strain. Special laptop backpacks feature more padding than regular backpacks, as well as specific pockets and slots for laptops and accessories.
Briefcase
A laptop briefcase looks like a traditional briefcase with a hard shell of metal or leather. It sits on its side and the top folds up to reveal the interior, most likely padded. This style often features locks for security. It will have a handle, a strap, or both. This style is more often used by businessmen and women.
