Other Types of Stoves
The following stoves are distinguished from the "everyday" types, as they are purchased for more specific reasons.
Commercial
A commercial stove is for the cooking connoisseur. Commercial style stoves are gaining in popularity for people with larger, more open kitchens and a bigger budget. Commercial style stoves often have dual ovens and more burners than a regular stove. They are also frequently stainless steel. A commercial stove is for a serious chef. They can be purchased either gas or electric and are very costly. A buyer purchasing a commercial stove on eBay cannot expect a return policy; most of the sellers do not offer one on these types of stoves.
Camping
Camping stoves are small and portable and great to take on a road or outdoor camping trip. Most camping stoves run on propane, and they are reasonably priced. They are much smaller than normal stoves and may only have two burners. Some camp stoves also offer a small oven, too. They fold up easily and can be convenient to take along on trips. A buyer purchasing a camping stove needs to ensure he or she is purchasing enough propane for their camping trip. Check specifications to find out how much is needed and if the seller is offering any propane along with the purchase of the camp stove.
Vintage
Vintage stoves are gas stoves that come from all different eras. When a buyer is purchasing a vintage stove, he or she needs to ensure it's in good, working order and a list of the stove's flaws is available in the buyer's specifications. Vintage stoves are a great collector's item or neat addition to an old-fashioned kitchen and can be made of cast iron, porcelain or enamel. Vintage stoves can be costly depending on how old the stove is and what kind of condition it's in.
